To mark its 30th Anniversary, Saint Etienne will release a very special box set of their classic second album ‘So Tough’. This beautiful set includes a vinyl version of the original album in a gatefold sleeve; ‘So Tough – Remains Of The Day’, a 10 track vinyl companion album of rarities and demos; ‘Hobart Paving’ 7’’ single; a 28-page booklet featuring new essays and photos; a poster and a reproduction of the original press release from 1993. Anna Doble, James Fry and myself have contributed to the words inside. I interview the band about the making of the album.
