I sometimes host QnAs for the Rock n Roll Bookclub E17, organised by the lovely Mark. Most recently was for Whatever Happened to the C86 Kids? by Nige Tassel – with musical accompaniment by Dave Lance Callahan from the Wolfhounds (photo below). It was great fun, I say that without fear of rebuke.
Previous RnR bookclubs have been with music writer Pete Paphides – and with Sottish author Graeme Thomson & former footballer Pat Nevin (photo below). We also managed to raise £500 for the dec Ukraine appeal via the raffle for the latter – Pat had found some Simple Minds tour brochures and ticket stubs and brought them in. What a chap.
