Why not listen to a new podcast, the Heritage Chart Show Show?
Hosted by Pete Paphides and myself, it’s an outlet for our life-long passion for chart rundowns and our keeness to live in a world where they are still relevant. It’s also an outlet for our never-ending fascination with the Heritage Chart, invented by legendary broadcaster Mike Read for pop fans over the age of 35 who maintain “a lingering affection for Top Of The Pops, Pans People, all the Radio 1 DJs on a Sunday evening between 5-7pm”. Do we know how it’s put together? NO! Do we know what qualifies you for inclusion in the heritage chart? NO! Pete’s written a great piece about the show and you can read it here.
Our first episode features Lawrence from Go Kart Mozart, ex-Felt and Denim. Our second features industry legend and Mr Guilty Pleasures Sean Rowley – the third, beauty writer and campaigner Sali Hughes. Plus! Our theme tune is by the exemplary Mike Batt! And thanks to Andy Lewis for his fine production work.
