Haringey Council are celebrating Women’s History Month and they asked me to create four maps for them which are a treasure trove of information about the astonishing women who have lived in the borough. From parachutists in and around Alexandra Palace to women who set up the first schools in the borough; from suffragette potato-throwing to the women who worked in the WWII munitions factories, it’s a rich history. It’s been painstakingly compiled by curator Deborah Hedgecock, who will also be doing talks online during March 2021.
